Roadshow sets Sunrise on the Reaping for 19 November AU release

Sunrise on the Reaping opens in Australian cinemas on 19 November 2026 — a day before the title reaches North America. The window mirrors the strategy on The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes in 2023, which also gave Australian audiences a head start on the global date.

The major chains are already ahead of it: Hoyts, Event Cinemas and Palace all have the film listed, and premium-format sessions are expected to load as the date firms up. Francis Lawrence — who has directed every film in the franchise since Catching Fire — returns, with Joseph Zada as the young Haymitch Abernathy.
