Arabella Rosier Says She's Hosting the Sydney Premiere of Sunrise on the Reaping
The Australian author and TikTok creator announced the gig on her own account on Sunday night and tagged Roadshow Films. Roadshow hasn't confirmed a date, venue or guest list.
Australian author and TikTok creator Arabella Rosier says she will host the Sydney premiere of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, announcing it in a TikTok video posted at about 7pm AEDT on Sunday 25 October.
It’s the first word of a Sydney premiere for the film. So far the only source is Rosier’s own post. Roadshow Films hasn’t announced the event publicly.
The video’s on-screen text reads “The moment I was told I’m hosting the premiere for Sunrise on the Reaping.” The caption adds “See you guys in Sydney end of November!!!” and tags Roadshow Films and TikTok Australia.
What we know, and what we don’t
Confirmed (by Rosier): she is hosting, the event is a premiere, and it’s in Sydney.
Not yet announced: the date, the venue, whether fans can get in, and which cast or filmmakers will attend. Nothing has been posted on Roadshow’s channels or the film’s Australian ticketing pages as of Monday 26 October.
The timing needs clarifying. Rosier’s caption says “end of November”, but the film opens here on Thursday 19 November, with advance sessions at Event, Hoyts and Dendy Coorparoo the night before. A premiere usually lands before release, so treat “end of November” as loose until Roadshow posts a date.
The TikTok Australia tag suggests the platform is involved in some way. That’s our read of the tag, not something either company has said.
Who is Arabella Rosier

Rosier is an Australian young adult author behind the Silver Valley trilogy (Silver Valley, Silver Kingdom, Silver Crown). Her website bills her as an international award-winning YA author.
On TikTok she has more than 825,000 followers and a bio that calls her “the hunger games arena girl”, a reference to the handmade Hunger Games arena book nooks she builds and sells. Her pinned videos this year include a Sunrise popcorn bucket concept addressed to Lionsgate and Roadshow.
She has covered the campaign closely. On 18 October she posted a rundown of details from the Sydney press event on 14 October, when Joseph Zada and Mckenna Grace launched the global tour here.
How this fits Roadshow’s Sydney playbook
Roadshow has gone local with its hosts. The 14 October fan event at The Eveleigh, The Grounds of Alexandria was hosted by comedian Joel Creasey, who ran a live Q&A with Zada and Grace (BroadwayWorld, The Hollywood Reporter Australia).
Handing the premiere to a creator who built her audience on the books is a different choice. It points the event at the BookTok crowd that made Sunrise one of 2025’s biggest books (The Bookseller), and puts an Australian voice on the carpet for a film led by a Sydney-born actor.
Whether Zada comes home for it is the question Australian fans will ask first. The world premiere is reported for New York on 16 November, which is 11.30am AEDT on Tuesday 17 November. Roadshow hasn’t said whether any cast will travel to Sydney after that.
We’ll update this story when Roadshow confirms the details.
Rosier’s bio promises arenas. If she brings the 50th Games’ meadow to the carpet, we’d recommend nobody lean in too close to the flowers.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Elle Fanning, Jesse Plemons and Ralph Fiennes. It opens in Australian cinemas 19 November 2026, a day ahead of the US.
