Stila's Sunrise on the Reaping collection is coming to Australia & New Zealand, exclusively at MECCA

The Stila × The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping collection is coming to Australia and New Zealand as a limited-edition MECCA exclusive, THGAustralia.com can now exclusively confirm. The first drop lands 29 September, online and in Flagship MECCA stores, with a second drop following in October.

Stila is the official makeup partner for the film, and the collection was developed alongside the production itself — the film’s hair, makeup and prosthetics designer, Natalie MacGowan Spencer, requested Stila products while building the characters’ looks, and Suzanne Collins approved the product names and packaging.

What’s in the collection

The range launched in the US on 12 August. It’s built around two hero sets and three standalone lines.

Sunrise Eyes — five travel-sized Liqua-Play liquid eyeshadows in character-inspired shades: Maysilee, Lenore Dove, Proserpina, Effie and Mags, in a collectible tin stamped with the snake-and-songbird motif that runs through the whole collection. Finishes range from flat matte to high sparkle.

All Fire — a duo named for Lenore Dove and Haymitch’s “I love you like all fire”: the Liqua-Play eyeshadow in a shimmering bronze, paired with a brand-new product for Stila, the Stay All Day Kajal Waterproof Gel Eye Liner Pencil in Black Smolder.

The rest of the range splits into three moods, sold individually. Meadow Dream is the warm, glowy end — a rose-gold Heaven’s Hue Highlighter, a copper Stay All Day Smudge & Set gel liner, and the sheer Heaven’s Dew Honey Glow Balm. Pretty Striking is the Capitol end, and the most Effie of the three: an electric blue InkWear liquid liner, the multicoloured Heaven’s Dew All Over Glimmer, and a returning Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery, a bright red long-time Stila buyers will recognise. Rebel Beauty covers the muted, everyday looks — a new matte eyeshadow in the mauve-brown shade Fauna, the Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Labradorite, and Huge Extreme Lash mascara.

What we don’t know yet

Which products sit in the September drop versus the October one hasn’t been confirmed — we’ll update this piece when MECCA locks the split. AU/NZ pricing is also still to come. For reference, US pricing runs from US$20 for the Fauna eyeshadow up to US$59 for the Sunrise Eyes set, with All Fire at US$34 and most of the standalone items between US$24 and US$30.

There are launch events and activations planned around the release, and we’ll share those details as soon as we can.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is in Australian and New Zealand cinemas 19 November.

Confirmed: MECCA exclusivity for AU/NZ, the 29 September first drop and an October second drop, and the full product line-up as launched in the US. Not yet confirmed: which products land in which drop, AU/NZ pricing, and launch event details.
